Abstract: Real-time edge-enhanced image correlation using the incoherent readout of a dynamic hologram recorded in BSO crystal is reported for the first time. A system is described which records the Fresnel transform of the input signal in a BSO crystal; such a system exhibits good object discrimination in addition to the usual features of an incoherent correlator. Several experimental results are presented, and these are compared with computer simulations.
